Being a drummer was always on the back of my mind so in 1981 when guitar playing friends Tom Tabeling and the late Mike Briggs looked at me and said they needed that kind of help, I was ready. Also I could add vocals using the singing tips and experience gained since 5th grade.
Add Dave Crow and we became "Phaze". That name changed after our first gig at a frat house at Miami U. Mentioning a name of a co-worker seemed to click with everyone so "Adrian Hall" was the solid winner.
We quickly added a bass player in Tom Turner as well as sound man help from John Dugan. Mike converted to keyboard. Tom threw in some sax and we were playing covers around Clifton and a few outskirts. It was a blast.
As we slowed down, I moved on to sports and had a long stretch without playing. However, I knew I would return.
Drummer was not a choice as a few back surgeries and damaged nerves didn't allow for any control of the bass drum. No problem because I told myself if I return, I would rather move to the front most likely as a lead singer. Soooo, I moved to guitar and re-committed to singing.
Spent some time singing/jamming with friends including Mike Dubbert, Tom Roth and others in and out. More recent, Tom and I starting doing some duo gigs and then added friend Mike Eckel. We decided to expand it and were happy to find bass player Bill Theis and eventually keyboardist Chris Clements.
These guys were a joy to be around and we played out a while as "Mystic Slim". Things tend to change and they preferred to do things a little different and I wanted to add country to my classic rock song list. I think we are all happy.
So here I am, running as a soloist and enjoying it all. If you think I would be a good fit, please send an brief email through the contact page or call/text 513-515-5708, Thanks
